粘土筆桶 Pencil Holder with Air Dry Clay

Time flies. It’s time to get some ideas and make some gifts for kids’ teachers. My kids love air-dry clay and play-dough, so I taught my older one to make a pen organizer/holder for his teacher when he was a kindergardener.

I showed him how to use modeling tools and hands to make balls, spirals, flowers, and more. We also made a teacher’s initial to make her special.

If your kids like to play with play-dough, you may try to make one with your kids. Don't be nervous! There is no wrong or right. Here are some basic tips.

• balls : use to hands to shape it

• spirals : make a long snake shape and curl it in different direction

• tear shape: make a ball first, and then use palms to shape one end into a tear

• Then you can combine different shaped dough into different flowers or leaves. Modeling tool can help you to make some details. Let kids use different color clay to create their pattern with tools. Gently put some glue in the back and glue them into the pot. Let it dry for one to two days. After that, put some beans into the bottom, and put some pretty pans. It's ready to wrap and give to kids' teachers.

每次學期快結束時，就要想想讓孩子做禮物給老師的點子。因為哥哥很愛玩粘土，所以在哥哥還是Kindergarden時，我帶著他，教他做的筆筒。除了運 用模型工具外，還教他如何利用手的溫度和力量做出不同的形狀來裝飾筆筒，另外還特別做了老師名字的縮寫在上面喔！！不但可愛又有意義。

材料:

• 各色粘土 Air Dry Kids Clay in Different Colors

• 小花瓶和小桶子 Small Clay Pot or Glasses

• 漿糊 Glue

• 兒童用模型刀和模具 Clay Molds and Plastic Modeling Tools for Kids ( for

safety issue )

• 豆子 or 彩色小珠　Any kind of small beans or beads ( for inside )

作法:

1. 讓小朋友利用各種不同顔色的粘土來佈置花瓶或桶子，用漿糊粘貼緊。例如：用5個小滴狀加一個球狀可以變成一朵小花。

3. 待乾一至二天。

5. 好了後，將豆子放入筆桶內再放筆即可。
